The steering arm provides leverage to the wheels to help get the truck moving. The force from the tow bar stroke is transferred to the wheel, which starts moving the lifter.

Toyota Lifter hand pallet trucks are built with up to 12 greasing points, for better lubrication, longer lifespan and less wear.
