The EcoVadis assessment is carried out once a year at headquarters level, and every factory and sales company undergoes the same assessment. This is how we promote ESG compliance and good practice across our entire business.
Our EcoVadis targets continue to progress: three out of four factories have reached EcoVadis Gold level, and sales companies and warehouses are working towards the same goal.
EcoVadis assesses performance and transparency in four areas: labour and human rights, environment, ethics and sustainable procurement.
In addition to the ESG rating, EcoVadis also provides a carbon management rating. Compared to 21% the previous year, 58% of our factories and companies now have a “Leader” or “Advanced” rating. In environmental management we have made steady progress since 2015.
Through our responsible sourcing initiative we monitor the social and environmental performance of suppliers. More than 1,000 suppliers use EcoVadis to assess their ESG performance, and more than 145 suppliers have committed to science-based targets (SBTi).
